It's a particular honor to be asked to create a whole new brand for a company just getting started. Aira was founded by a team of brilliant inventors from Intel, Qualcomm and Bell Labs. Check out the logo, brand kit, website, presentation and demos I made for Aira.

PRESENTATION & DEMO

Even before putting together a website, I worked with the CEO, CTO and CMO to develop a presentation for investors. The first key point:

Why is Aira better than standard Bluetooth technology?

The next key point to set the stage for investing in Aira's potential:

Trends and implications
for wireless technology.

It was important for Aira's founders to prove how and why their technology would outshine the competition:

Past discovery and documentation leading to proof of concept.

Although the initial implementation for Aira would be in earbuds, the developers had more markets for deployment in mind.

Aira's technology will improve hearables, hearing restoration and various MedTech devices.

AIRA AUDIO DEMO

The initial demo I designed for the slide presentation included three slides with an audio element. This first screen displays a listener (wearing standard bluetooth earbuds) listening a nearby device playing music.

Click the play button to hear what the music would sound like on nearby source with standard Bluetooth.

Beyond upgrading wireless earbuds for audio strength and quality, Aira focuses on improving wi-fi in other applications.

Rollover to learn more:

MedTech1.png

Enhancing the connection between hearing aids and mobile devices which help control settings.

MedTech2.png

Improvements in devices that monitor diabetes symptoms.

MedTech3.png

Development of smart wearables that can save a life in event of sudden cardiac arrest.

MedTech4.png

Wireless neuromodulation can improve pain management, treat muscle spasms, and tremors and can be a treatment for Parkinson's disease.

WEBSITE

In the development of Aira's website, I worked with the founders and a team from Muddy Gecko to create the best UX, journeys and stories that would accomplish these goals:

  1. Show why Aira is better than standard Bluetooth

  2. Identify trends are contributing to the need for improved wi-fi technology

  3. Present proof of concept

  4. Attract the best engineers to join Aira

HERO GRAPHIC

The home page header was an animated graphic containing the main tagline stating how Aira's connections are 10x better than standard Bluetooth technology. I designed 4 icons to correspond to main elements that could be improved with Aira.

TRENDS AND IMPLICATIONS FOR WIRELESS

I developed this graphic to show modern trends that make Aira's improvements so valuable. Aira claims they provide 2x the range, 4x better power consumption and 1000x more reliability.

PROOF OF CONCEPT: THE GENESIS

Aira's founders felt it was important to show how the concept behind their technology came to be from historical research, invention and documentation to the development of machine learning and AI. A demonstration showed how AI and ML can dramatically improve wireless, which Aira calls Deepcode.

ATTRACTING THE BEST ENGINEERS

Aira's fourth goal for their website was to attract the best and brightest engineers. Aside from job listings and contact information, I collaborated with the founders to create some graphics and content to help them stand out.

Aira's founders shared a specific list of values which I updated and redesigned to post to the website. I also included a photo gallery of their workspace, a light and open place in a historic building. The founders also felt that potential engineers would want to know where current members of the team came from. Associations, past companies, and where they were educated.
