I have been the primary designer for Show & Tell Tees since they opened their shop in 2014. I was already an experienced print designer with a deep understanding of the four color process, spot color printing and how ink is applied to all kinds of paper.
In screen printing, you have to figure out how to apply designs to fabric with ink, and when the design is more than just a flat shape - we use halftone! Little dots next to each other can give a design dimension and shape. Here's an example where I set up a gradient from one color to another using just two ink colors and halftone dots.
